All learners studying with an STTQ-approved training centre complete the same coursework assignments through our online learning system. Assignments are marked by independent STTQ assessors and are subject to a quality assurance and moderation process to ensure consistency, fairness, and high standards across all training centres.
Working safely and effectively with clients experiencing chronic pain and minor injuries requires a broad range of knowledge and understanding. The coursework has been carefully designed to help you develop this essential underpinning knowledge. As classroom time is limited, home-study assignments provide the opportunity to achieve this. Each assignment question includes guidance on where to find learning resources and information to help you research and develop your answers.
Hands-on clinical skills are at the heart of this qualification and we know that some learners who excel practically may feel less confident with written work. For this reason, the coursework is divided into a series of shorter questions that guide you through the key topics step by step. We encourage learners to write their answers in clear, everyday language, as if they were explaining the subject to a client rather than writing for an academic lecturer.
For learners who experience difficulties with writing, spelling, language, or dyslexia, we recommend the use of voice-to-text software and other appropriate learning support tools.
If your coursework does not achieve the required pass mark on first submission, you will receive feedback and have the opportunity to improve and resubmit your answers. Our aim is to support your learning and help you achieve the required standard while developing the knowledge and confidence needed for professional practice.
